There are many ways that volunteers can get involved at OCCORD.

For those who would like to provide direct support to those at our upcoming Citizenship Fairs, who receive naturalization help, there are several volunteer roles:

Patient Care Volunteer

Registration/Front Desk volunteers will be greeting Applicants as they check in for their Citizenship services.

  • Must be trained on NationBuilder
  • Spanish Speaking
  • Be able to use a laptop or computer

Respite Volunteer

N-400 Preparer volunteers will be assisting applicants on filling out their N-400 Citizenship Forms.

  • Must be trained as an N-400 Preparer
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to read and write in English

Pathway Volunteer

Fee Waiver volunteers will assist applicants in filling out their I-912 (Fee Waiver) or I-942 (Partial Fee Waiver) form. This will determine if they have qualified to have their application fee waived.

  • Must be trained as a Fee Waiver Preparer
  • Must be able to read and write in English

Courier Volunteer

Number Taker volunteers due to high volumes of applicants our clinics and fairs require all applicants to give their number for each station in the queue to assure applicants serve in a first come first serve bases.

  • Must be able to read numbers in English/Spanish
  • Must be able to coordinate with applicants

Special Volunteer RolesSpecial roles: Do you have a special talent or skill? We are always looking for individuals with special skills, photography/videography, database management, and legal aid.
